Attract, Retain & Engage
This Course provides a blueprint for attracting the talent you need and transforming your practice, department or firm into a place where lawyers want to work and which they don’t want to leave.
Progressing attrition of your best lawyers, combined with insufficient talent on the market and growing employee demands – sounds familiar?
This almost perfect storm means two things. First, losing any of your key employees will be a very heavy blow.
Second, if you haven’t already, you should start to rethink your approach to employees and their role in your firm, focusing on employee retention, training and opening to new ways of working.

Before the Course
Pre-Course Survey
We will start by a pre-course focus survey to tailor the material even more and capture seniority, field of law and particular development needs of the attendees.
Build-Up
Before the course begins you will receive a preparatory reading & assignments to make sure you know all basic frameworks this course builds upon.
During the Course
Module I – Assessment
The course will begin with a comprehensive guided assessment of your firm (department). It will be focused on employer branding, lawyer’s satisfaction, retention levels, motivation techniques, workstyle, and attrition. This is conducted to allow you to get an initial perspective of your firm’s strong sides and potential areas of development with regards to talent management. The results of the assessment don’t need to be shared with other participants or the MOQQ team.
Module II – Motivation
In the second part of the course we will concentrate on properly motivating your staff to work in your firm. You will uncover different motivators, modern beliefs and expectations surrounding work, tackle some myths around “the young generation” and find overarching needs that translate into work principles applicable to lawyers at different positions. This way we will lay the grounds for forming a unified strategy for talent acquisition and retention. You will also learn how to motivate lawyers on different seniority levels.
Model III – Empowerment & Engagement
Third module introduces a framework for achieving high engagement of your team members in a sustainable manner. It concentrates on the notion of empowerment and building a synergy of values to access a passion-work connection. This framework is then implemented into key communication mechanisms of a manager to show practical applications for a legal team.
Module IV – Attrition, Retention & Development
Fourth module of the course puts all of the above into practice by designing practical approaches and strategies allowing you to tackle three main challenges surrounding people management in law firms – attrition, retention of talent and development of new lawyers hired to your practice. This part of the training will also be devoted to developing a plan of action to implement new practices immediately after course conclusion.
After the Course
Q&A
The course includes two Q&A sessions with additional questions answered over email after course conclusion.
