Module I – Overview
First module contains a practical overview of processes law firms or legal departments may introduce to their operations. It captures processes applied across your client lifecycle (client intake, onboarding, matter intake & management, communication, etc.) as well as those purely internal (strategy and planning, finance, people management, knowledge management, information flow, etc.).
We discuss the necessity of each of those processes, show what value they add to the firm and warn against common obstacles within their implementation. Completion of this module will give you awareness of which processes are you lacking as well as when and in what order any processes should be implemented in your organisation.
Module II – Process Design
Second module of the course introduces a framework for designing custom processes for your organisation. We walk you through all elements and work on case studies to show you how to create powerful, effective and efficient processes that bring maximum business value without overwhelming your employees.
You will learn the 6 steps of successful process creation: assess, define, consult, design, consult, refine and receive a complete toolkit to comfortably walk through these steps in your firm. You will also learn how to avoid the most common mistakes and reach agreement among stakeholders. Finally, you will discover how to choose the right technology.
Model III – Process Implementation
Third part of the course deals with the most difficult part of the process approach – implementation of new process to an organisation. Typically, implementing new processes involves persuading stakeholders to change their day-to-day behaviour to one that falls into the process. This can cause a lot of friction that can be significantly reduced when navigating implementation correctly.
This module introduces principles and techniques of change management – methodologies designed to streamline implementation of changes in organisations. We select those which work best within the legal sector. You will receive information and tools allowing you to navigate changes in your workplace and actually make stakeholders excited about these changes.
Module IV – Process Management
Lastly, we look at the support system of any functioning process – process management. Approach we introduce is based on the assumption that processes are not set in stone and applied on a need-to-follow basis. Modern processes need to be fluid, inclusive, value driven and agile.
In this module you will discover process controls, quality control mechanisms and application of the process of continuous improvement. Thanks to those you will make sure that processes in your organisation keep bringing value at optimal level and evolve together with the organisation. We will also cover the empowering processes – created by MOQQ specifically for the legal market.
